Are you going to go up or down? and the answer could be :I’m going to go down.
I’ll say the words and you’ll repeat them
Can i use future with going to in the sentence “This summer we’re going to Cuba”?

Me alegro de que te guste el blog.

El uso de los tiempos verbales en el futuro es mucho más flexible que el de los tiempos pasados. En general, “will” se usa más para predicciones (Do you think he’ll call me?) o para hablar de decisiones que se hacen en el momento en que estás hablando (Ok, so I’ll call you tomorrow.)

Ayer encontre tu website y me gusto mucho. yo estoy viviendo en inglaterra desde hace 14 meses.No estoy dando clases, pero he aprendido bastante hablando con la gente y gracias a internet tambien…
Me gustaria que me ayudaras a hablar en futuro…suelo utilizar el “going to” pero tengo entendido que eso es para un futuro cierto y cercano…me gustaria saber cuando utilizar el “will”

Hola Albert,

Ese pasado histórico también existe en inglés, aunque a veces tengo la impresión que lo usamos un poco menos. (Por ejemplo, se ve en las pequeñas biografías de los escritores que los editoriales ponen en los libros, es decir “Fulanito No Sé Quien nace en 1951 en Valladolid…”. En este contexto no lo usaríamos en inglés.)

Y también se puede usar para contar anéctdotas estilo “So I get in the taxi, and the guy tells me. . .”

De hecho, hay varios otros usos que no cubro en este post. Por ejemplo, situaciones en las que se usa el subjuntivo en español:

Cuando se vaya –> When he leaves

Espero hablar más de esto y de más cosas próximamente.
