My friend Manolo is employed as an urban sanitation technician. The commencement of his employment activities usually occurs at a relatively late hour (approximately 10:00 p.m.) and his return to his place of residence occurs early in the morning. As a result, the frequency of his contact with his marital partner, Conchita-as well as the duration of said contact-is minimal. Moreover, Conchita is obliged by her employment conditions to get up early in order to arrive at the local market, where she is a vendor of both salt- and fresh-water animal species for use in culinary activities.

Fortunately, Manolo and Conchita are able to arrange shared time on non-work days, and within this context the hour at which they get up is greatly postponed. Breakfast consists of a simple cup of coffee which is prepared and enjoyed at approximately 1:00. Lunch is had at 4:00, and is followed by a rest period whose time of termination is determined by the level of fatigue of both members of the conjugal unit.

In the evening, Manolo and Conchita enjoy pedestrian excursions in their urban zone, and the patronizing of culinary establishments with members of their social network. With some frequency, the participants’ behaviour and/or mental states are altered by the consumption of alcoholic beverages, but recovery normally takes place before the return of employment obligations the following week.

Aquí va mi versión simplificada:

My friend Manolo is a garbage man. He starts work late (around 10:00 at night) and gets home early in the morning, so he doesn’t see his wife, Conchita, much. Plus, Conchita has to get up early to go the market, where she sells fish.

Fortunately, Manolo and Conchita can spend time together on the weekends. They usually get up late and have a cup of coffee at 1:00. They have lunch at 5:00, and then have a nap for as long as they feel like.

In the evening they like to go for a walk in their neighborhood and to a restaurant with friends. Sometimes they get drunk, but they’re always ready for work on Monday.

My friend, Manolo, works as a garbage man. He starts work kind of late, around 10 p.m. and gets home early in the morning. His wife, Conchita, has to get up early to get to her job at the market, where she sells seafood. Therefore, they don’t see each other very much.

Luckily Manolo and Conchita get together on the weekends. They sleep late, have coffee around 1 p.m. and lunch at 4. Then, depending on how tired they are, they rest for a while.

In the evening, they like to take walks in their neighborhood and get something to eat with their friends. They often drink so much that they get drunk, but they are sober by the time they have to go back to work.

“The neighbours consider that installing air-conditioning equipments is allowed although the operation of such equipments and their location shall not bother anyone or spoil the common elements.

Having this in mind, the neighbours’ board discussed the alternatives and finally reached an agreement; the ideal location will be the exterior and interior facades.

Some neighbours complained about an equipment that was installed in the yard and it is creating much noise and heat. The neighbours’ board agreed to ban installing such machines in the yards. Plus, a neighbour had to remove a machine once for the same reason.
The owner of flat 2B, who did not apply for a permit and installed one machine in the yard, was asked to move it from that place to the facade within 3 months”.

I tried to include all the ideas and a quite formal language although understandable for a kid. Just a try. Greetings from Belgium.

    Hi Dani,
Good job, although I think my version will be even simpler. I’ll post it soon, so stay tuned.
    see you. Zac

    Here is my contribution:

Neighbours have decided that air conditioning sets should be allowed because of the hot weather, but people have to follow some location rules. Sets will be placed on the exterior and interior facades, so that the noise doesn’t bother anyone and the area installation doesn’t spoil the common elements.

For this reason, the neighbour living on the 2B flat, who has placed the air conditioning set in the yard, have to remove it within three months.

    Maybe too short??

    Greting!

  • MARIANO dice:

In the last meeting of the community, it has been authorized the installation of air conditioning set to the proprietors who wish to do so.
This installation has been approved in accordance with the following regulations: The outside flats, in the main facade and the inner ones in the facade that overlooks the gar
    den.
The owner of the flat 2ºB who installed an air conditioning set in the inner yard and whose noise is disturbing the rest of the neighbours, has been advised to modify the installation within a term of six months.
